Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble AAP National Convenor Sh. Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab continues to strengthen its position as a leading industrial hub. Cabinet Minister Shri Sanjeev Arora announced that Trident Group—market cap ₹18,000 crore and turnover ₹10,000 crore—will invest ₹2,000 crore in Punjab.

Of this, ₹1,500 crore will be utilized in Barnala to expand Terry Towel production and modernize paper manufacturing, while ₹500 crore will be invested in Mohali to establish a state-of-the-art corporate office and a Capacity Building Centre. This major investment will create employment opportunities for nearly 2,000 semi-skilled rural women.
Shri Arora emphasized that Punjab’s progressive policies and ease-of-doing-business reforms are making the state a preferred destination for investors, showcasing the Government’s unwavering commitment to industry-friendly growth.

Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta, Chairman of Trident Group and Rajya Sabha MP, shared that the company is expanding its yarn business, upgrading textile capabilities, and modernizing paper manufacturing with advanced, eco-friendly technologies. The Group is also scaling up Terry Towel production to reinforce its global leadership and setting up a dedicated centre in Mohali for skill development and technical training.
Trident Group’s key manufacturing locations include Sanghera and Dhaula in Barnala, Punjab, and Budhni in Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh. The Group directly supports 10,000 families and indirectly sustains nearly 30,000 more.
