Aam Aadmi Party’s Silence on Such a Crucial Issue is Condemnable. Said AAP has Consistently Compromised State’s Interests.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal today condemned the Central Government’s decision to take control of Panjab University, Chandigarh, by issuing a notification that has ended the elections to its Syndicate and packed the Senate with nominated and ex-officio members.
Speaking to reporters while addressing election meetings held in support of party candidate Principal Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa in the constituency, the Akali Dal President said that the Centre is consistently weakening the rights of Punjab, be it on the issue of the capital Chandigarh, river water rights, the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), or the control over Panjab University.
Condemning the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s silence on such an important issue, Sardar Badal said, “Punjab’s rights have been under attack ever since the Aam Aadmi Party came to power in the state. If you want to save the rights of Punjab, support your regional party which can fight against this injustice. We will not allow the rights of Punjab to be encroached upon at any cost.”
🏡 SAD’s Future Roadmap
During the public meetings, speaking about the future roadmap of the Akali Dal, the party President said, “Once elected to power in 2027, we will ensure that every poor person has their own house. We will ensure that not a single kutcha (temporary) house remains in the state. We will also ensure that all land situated within the Lal Dora of villages is registered to protect the property rights of the people.”
Sardar Badal praised the party workers for standing up against the illegal activities carried out by AAP leaders, especially their candidate Harmit Sandhu. He stated that Harmit Sandhu will have to face the law for registering false cases against Akali workers.
⚔️ Criticism of Congress
The Akali Dal President also highlighted how Congress leaders are eulogizing Indira Gandhi, who, he said, attacked Sri Darbar Sahib with tanks and mortars. He stated, “Raja Warring calls her his mother; everyone knows how senior Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa’s father Santokh Randhawa congratulated Indira Gandhi for giving the orders for the attack on Sri Darbar Sahib.”
Sardar Badal appealed to the people to support the Akali Dal, asserting that it alone can put Punjab back on the path of development and progress. He urged the people to support the party candidate, who belongs to a Dharmi Fauji family and has made immense sacrifices for the community (quom).
Today, the party president addressed public gatherings in the villages of Bhuchar Kalan, Burj, Shukar, Chak Cheema, Lehian, Kot Siviyan, Chabal, Baba Langah, and Muradpura.
